My Inspired Summer Reading

Hidden Treasures

I finished reading a great inspiring book entitled Hidden Treasures written by Paddi Newlin, K.R. Hartley, and Jessica Oliver.  It was a great inspiring book!

Reason why I love this book is because God had a plan for three different families to help and eventually to meet with each other in person.  What a coincidence!

Speaking of this book, I am in the same shoe.  I am also in the process of purging, downsizing, and organizing stuff we have in our home.  It is overwhelming for me, but it is important thing for me to do small and simple footsteps.  At the same time, I have a life to enjoy.  I will eventually get there.

In addition, I am reading a new book entitled Courage to be YOU:  Inspiring Lessons from an Unexpected Journey written by Gail Miller.  She owns one of Nolan’s favorite basketball team…  Utah Jazz.  That book is easy to read with lot of positive thoughts.

I purchased that book at a special event called Time Out for Women last April at Benaroya Hall located in downtown Seattle.

Thrilled with Our Half Year Accomplishments

It is hard to believe that it is already in the middle of the year 2018!  I want to share of how much we both have accomplished lately this month.

Nolan:

  • Completed Track & Field
  • Completed his test in Tae Kwon Do.
  • Graduated from Madrona as a 8th grader
  • Move on to Edmonds-Woodway High School as a freshman
  • Attended to Camp Taloali

Dina Marie:

  • Completed Lose to Win class at YMCA
  • Lost 10+ pounds
  • Completed American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) Test
  • My work with a professional deaf-blind client has been lessened
  • Surgery on my right wrist is done and is healing

Now that we are enjoying our summer season and continue to do whatever we need/want to complete.

What are things that you have completed in the middle of this year?

Straighten My Life Out

Since I am working less, I have started by going through my 13 years old son, Nolan and my clothes.  We have way too much clothes.  I am going to send some clothes to Thred Up, Kid to Kid, and donate to Deseret Industries.  Of course, there are some clothes that has holes and stains on them, I put them in the recycling bin near my home area.

There are some shirts that I like.  I folded them by following Marie Kondo’s folding method.  That made my life easier, which I can easily spot which shirt I want to wear.

And I joined YMCA Support Group last month based on learning of how to lose weight and eat less by using self-discipline.  I am using myfitnesspal app to keep track of what I eat almost daily.  And I used Kelly Coffey Meyer workout DVD.  It’s somewhat a challenge but fun!

In addition, I am still in the process of going through all pictures, which were taken in the year of 2017 on my phone, and our iPads.  I already deleted some double and no good pictures.  I am using Forever to create our 2017 photo hardcover book.

Of course, I am focusing my time on building up my business with Legal Shield.

At the same time, I am reading Money Mindset written by Brian Carruthers.

Obviously, I have lot of things on my plate to take care of.

What are things such as projects that keep you busy daily?
